These terms cover your use of Five Minute Menu at fiveminutemenu.com. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
The service
Five Minute Menu helps you plan the week’s dinners and builds a shopping list grouped by store department. We’re always improving the site, so features may change, move or be removed over time, and the site may sometimes be unavailable. We’ll do our best to keep your saved recipes and plans safe.
Your account
You need an account to save your planner. Please give a real email address, keep your password private, and let us know if you think someone else has used your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
Memberships and billing
Starting December 4, 2026, using the planner requires a membership. You can choose a monthly plan or a yearly plan. Current prices are shown on the site before you sign up.
Free trial. New members get a 7-day free trial. You don’t need a card to start. If you’d like to keep planning after your free week, add a card before the trial ends. If you don’t, your trial ends and you won’t be charged. Free trials are limited to one per person.
Automatic renewal. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You’ll be charged the plan price at the start of each period.
Founding member pricing. People on our waitlist who join during our opening period may receive a discounted monthly price for their first 12 months. After that, the regular monthly price applies.
Who processes your payment. Payments are handled by Stripe through Link, which acts as the seller of record for your membership. Link calculates and collects any sales tax, which is included in the price you see. Your purchase is also covered by Link’s terms, and charges appear on your statement under a name starting with “LINK.COM*”. We never see or store your full card number.
Cancelling. You can cancel any time from the “Manage my membership” link in your planner. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we don’t give refunds or credits for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires it. If something has gone wrong with a charge, email us at hello@fiveminutemenu.com and we’ll make it right.
Price changes. If we change our prices, we’ll let members know at least 30 days ahead. The new price applies at your next renewal after that notice. You can cancel before then if you don’t want to continue.
Beta members. Members who joined during our free beta keep free access for as long as their account stays open.
If a payment fails. If we can’t collect a payment, we’ll ask you to update your card. If it isn’t updated, your access to the planner pauses. Your saved recipes, menus and notes stay in your account so you can pick up where you left off.
Your recipes, photos and notes
Anything you add stays yours. You give us permission to store it, display it to you, and make the copies needed to run the site, such as backups and resized photos. We don’t share your recipes or photos with other members or use them for anything else without asking you first.
Only upload content you have the right to use. That means your own photos and recipes, or ones you have permission to share. Please don’t upload anything illegal, offensive, or that belongs to someone else without permission. We may remove content that breaks these rules.
Sharing your menu
You can share a link to your weekly menu and shopping list with family and friends. Anyone who has the link can view that menu without signing in, so only share it with people you trust.
Ratings
Star ratings should reflect your honest opinion of a recipe. We may remove ratings that look like spam or that are meant to manipulate a recipe’s score.
Our recipes and content
The recipes, writing, illustrations and design on Five Minute Menu belong to us or are used with permission. Some recipes are adapted from America’s Harvest Cookbook and USDA MyPlate Kitchen, published by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. You’re welcome to cook from our recipes and print them for your own kitchen. Please don’t copy them onto another website, or republish or sell them.
Cooking, allergies and food safety
Recipes, serving sizes, scaled amounts, nutrition information and shopping lists are for general home cooking. They’re not medical, nutritional or allergy advice. Recipes marked gluten free or GLP-1 friendly are general guides only. Always check ingredient labels for allergens, follow safe food handling, and cook meat, poultry, fish and eggs to safe temperatures. Scaled amounts are rounded, so use your judgment, especially when baking.
Shopping lists and stores
Shopping lists are an estimate to help you plan. Double-check them before you shop. If we offer a way to send your list to a grocery store or delivery service, your order, prices, substitutions, fees and delivery are handled by that store under its own terms. We aren’t responsible for products, prices or orders from outside stores.
Prices and cart subtotals shown in the planner come from the store at the moment you send your list. Your final total at the store may be different because of sales, substitutions, taxes and fees.
Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the site. That includes trying to break into other accounts, overloading or disrupting the site, scraping content in bulk, sharing your account with people outside your household, or using the site for anything illegal.
Ending your account
Cancelling your membership stops future charges but keeps your account and saved recipes, so you can come back any time. To delete your account entirely, email us at hello@fiveminutemenu.com. Deleting your account doesn’t automatically cancel a membership, so please cancel first. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut down the service, we’ll try to give members notice so they can save their recipes.
Disclaimers
Five Minute Menu is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we don’t guarantee it will always be available, error free, or that every recipe will turn out exactly as written.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Five Minute Menu and its owner aren’t liable for indirect or incidental damages, or for lost data or lost profits, from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you haven’t paid anything.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site grows. If we make important changes, we’ll update the date at the top and let members know by email or on the site. If you keep using the site after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA.
